Closest to camera is the now-dismantled Inner Circle Railway which originally went via Northcote Junction to Whittlesea but by 1967 it  had terminated at Fitzroy.

The abandoned North Carlton Station on the now - dismantled Inner Circle Railway.

North Fitzroy Station.To the right is the branch to Fitzroy and straight ahead the former line to Northcote Junction and beyond to Whittlesea.
