Richard Felstead's 

History.

 I was born at a very early age in the Sydney suburb of

Concord West  eldest child of  Noel and Patricia Felstead.

My first home was located  at 66 Llewellyn Street

in the Sydney suburb of Rhodes.

After my brother , Murray, was born we moved to 23 Chisholm Street Turramurra on Sydney's North Shore.

In 1954 I commenced my education at Turramurra Public  School where I stayed until the end of 1955

when we moved to Woodend by which time Lawrence (Larry) had been born.

Whilst living at Lancefield Road  Woodend ,

I attended Woodend State School, during 1956 before

moving to 92 Haldane Street  in the Melbourne suburb of Beaumaris  in 1957.

I commenced employment with Crawford Productions in 1966.

In 1968 I joined the Victorian Railways  as a Locomotive Engineman.

Whilst employed with V R  in 1969,I worked for a couple of months in Korumburra then on

 11th November 1969 I transferred to Wodonga for "a month", found the natives friendly and still live in the area.

In May 1974 I tried my hand selling insurance before joining  Mates - Waltons - Venture  as an major appliance salesman.

In 1987, after Venture went down the financial gurgler, I worked for Mister Minit  and Warehouse Sales,each for a few months , before joining Murray River County Council - Murray River Electricity - Energy South - Great Southern Energy - Country Energy - Essential Energy  as a customer services advisor on 26th October 1988.

I retired from Essential Energy on 26th April 2013.

2019.

Since  April 1984 I have been a presenter at Albury community radio  2REM FM.

 and was a member of Lavington Branch

                                of Lions International from 1988 to 2024.     

Through Lions I participated in Meals on Wheels (2013 to 2022) as well as a 

volunteer driver for the Cancer Council NSW.  

           In June 2019 , the Cancer Council received a brand new Hybrid Toyota Rav4 and  I was the first to drive it with a patient.The black Renault was sent back.
